Some days I marvel at the wild ways God works. Today is one of those days.
At 24, I came home from India for a brief summer visit, and Dr. Litfin (whom I’ve mentioned before) somehow weaseled me into doing an interview for Moody radio—you know, the “recent-graduate-missionary story” that makes people break out into a chorus of “God bless the school that D.L. Moody founded!”
To be honest, I didn’t really want to do it. It was inconvenient in my schedule and besides, I thought Moody radio was for old people (no offense to any faithful listeners).
But, Dr. Litfin was persistent, and so I went.

Who could have known that one of my future “life-friends” (and faithful Moody-radio-listener) was driving in her car at that moment and just so happened to tune in?
Who could have known that God would stir her heart for India, that she would contact me on Facebook, and come to Shishya as a fellow volunteer?
Who could have known that we would be roommates in India,
hike the Himalayas together,
and throw awesome costume parties for the boys?
have more ridiculous costume parties... :)
and work together at Brook Hills (a church that neither of us had even heard of)???
Kelly, I praise God for this sweet friendship that only He could have brought together.
Your energy and creativity inspire me—I know you say it’s the coffee & Jesus, but I have never met someone who can accomplish so much in one day! :) I admire your love for others and your compassionate servant’s heart. Thank you for always making me laugh, for the "walkie-talkies" and “work outs” (ie: hot tub) at the gym, and for being such a loyal friend. I don’t know what I’d do without ya.

I love you, Kelly!
